Each business and LLC you own gets its own complete books: its own accounts, bank feeds, reports and year-end close. They all sit in one account under one sign-in, and you give each person you invite exactly the entities they need, whether that is your accountant, a partner or a bookkeeper.
The entity's tax forms, filled from its books
From each entity's books, Glysten Books fills Form 1065 and its K-1s, Form 1120-S and its K-1s, Form 8825 for rental real estate, Form 4562, Forms 1125-A and 1125-E, and Oregon's OR-65 and OR-20-S, for the 2025 tax year. You or your preparer review and file them. None of the products below fills these forms.

What people who switch are usually leaving
- A subscription per LLC. QuickBooks Online and Xero bill each company or organisation separately, so ten LLCs are ten subscriptions.
- Classes standing in for companies. Keeping several LLCs in one file with classes saves the subscriptions, but the file has one balance sheet, not one per LLC.
- Two systems. Rental software for the tenants and QuickBooks for the books, with the numbers carried between them by hand.
- Year-end re-keying. The books in one place and the entity's tax return typed again somewhere else.
What stays the same
Double-entry books your accountant recognises, a bank feed that suggests and waits for your approval, reconciliation against your statements, and everything exportable at any time. You can bring your QuickBooks books with you: the import is checked against QuickBooks' own trial balance before anything is written.

Does Glysten Books collect rent?
Not yet. Leases, tenants and rent collection are planned for Glysten Rentals. Today Glysten Books keeps the books for rental properties: rent and expenses by property, loans, deposits and the tax forms.
What does Glysten Books cost?
Your first month is free, for one set of books (one business or LLC) with up to four bank accounts. The AI assistant is not part of the free month, and no card is needed to start. After that it is one price per portfolio, not per person. Prices are published before anyone is charged, and nobody is charged without seeing the price first.
How do I get Glysten Books?
Glysten Books is in early access. Ask to try it with the form on this page, and we will open an account for you and write to you when it is ready. The hosted service runs in your web browser, so there is nothing to install.
